Using a Fortec Star DVB-786NA with a Toroidal 90
Help !!!!!
I'm trying to get a signal using this two reflector dish (fixed dish) and my new receiver. I'm using a universal LNBF provided by WaveFrontier (the maker of the 105 cm dish). I'm only getting a 70% red bar for the signal and absolutely 0 for quality. The quality bar has never shown up and the signal color has always been red. Any suggestions would help.

 Please specify what satellite your are trying to lock on?
 Also, are you looking at the right transponder frequency?
 Make sure you select the right LNBF type in the antenna settings.
 Do you have DiSEqC, 12V, or 22Khz switches setup right?

Using a Fortec Star DVB-786NA with a Toroidal 90
Sadoun Sales,
I am trying to look on Telstar 6.
I have been trying to tune into a KU band frequency.
I've been selecting a universal LNBF.
I am not using a DiSEqC switch yet and so I have NO entered for 12V, or 22Khz. I only have one LNBF so far.
QUESTION: According to Fortec, what would cause no quality signal to show up and only a red bar for signal strength regardless of the type of dish?
Thanks,
JBLoranger

Make sure that the actual LNBF is a universal type. Otherwise, change the LNBF type in the menu to SINGLE and the LO frequency to 10750.
LNB Power: V/H
Everything else OFF
Make sure your store changes.
What TP Data number you are using? What is the frequency you see for that TP?
No quality means the dish is not aligned correctly.

That is awsome. By the way in the USA satellite spacing is 2 degrees compared to 3 degrees in Europe. It would mae a tight fit for the LNBFs.

well, if you take a closer look here
http://www.satlex.de/cgi/sub.image_v...rontier&pic=18
or here http://www.satlex.de/cgi/main.php?lang=en&mid=12&pic=18
then you'll see in the middle of the picture a blue-line MTI LNB and a white C120 Flansh MTI LNB which are held tight together by a multifeed holder. those 2 LNBs are for Sirius at 5°East and Eutelsat W1 at 7°East. So you see only 2 degrees away and I can tell you buddy, that the signal quality is very strong. 8)
by the way, if you want, you can write some thoughts in my guestbook. thanks!

TriaxMan

a few days, well, i mean until I figured out how to get it to work without a digital measuring device, i spent like 2 or 3 days. then it went pretty good. the most took me the fine adjusting of each lnb to make it get the strongest signal.
