fortec star 786V3

I have problem locking the telestar 5, I have another reciever that I can watch all the channels,when i hooked up the the dish cable to fortec 786v3 i can not get any channals, when I want put the frequncy 11 or 12 i will get signal 86% and quality 88% but when i add the third digit for example 118 it will change to red clor 76% so I dontknow what to do.

What do you mean by saying the third digit? If you can get lock, the receiver works OK. Compare the transponder list against lyngsat.com to make sure you have all the active ones, then scan the whole sat you should get all the channels.

what i mean the digit i s the frequncy number are five digits .so when i put the first and second number wich i mean 11 or 12 i got good signal and good quality but when i add the third number 118 the signal changes red with 76% and zero qulity so i don't know what to do.
any help

When you add the forth or fifth number it should jump up if it is a live TP.

Check the LO to make sure you set it correctly.
Standard: 10750
Universal: low 9750, high 10600.
Do you hook up the receiver to the dish directly? Or slave it to other reciever?
This is strange if you see the receiver give quality even keying the 1st 2 digits.
