Steady LED on Sony Dish! Satelliteless in Seattle!

I'm in need of some help!

My dish blew off the roof during a windstorm in Seattle (Don't ask). It has since been fastened down but sat on my roof for over a year without a problem.

Anyway, I got it back up and the LED only shows a steady light during antenna setup. The manuals say if it shows a steady light, there's likely a short in the cable. I bought a 50' RG6 cable and to test it, I connected it directly from the dish to the receiver (I have another 75' section running under the house and into a surge protector, but to test I went direct with the new cable).

Am I looking at a problem in the LNB or the receiver? I have a Sony SAT-A4. As I stated, I've ruled out the cable as the problem.

Any ideas before I go out and spend a bunch of $$ trying to track it down?

Thank you very much for your time and responses!

We're slow but we get the job done!! HeHeHe. I've been browsing old threads and came across yours...

I would say you have a problem in the LNB if the LED is on indicating a short. If not then I would have your receiver serviced.
