wiring?

I am doing an install on a Uniden SQ560 and I'd like to know where I can buy the wiring I need to go from the receiver to the dish, not the coax, I have that, but the motor and sensor wiring. I know you are supposed to use shielded wire. I'd like to buy it locally if possible, I'm in Colorado, USA. Thank You for any help you can give. HH

Usually the wiring you need is all in one "licorice" cable used for big dishes; it is comprised of 2/RG6, red and white motor cable, 3 smaller guage wires (red, black and white) for the polarity motor and 2 smaller wires (green and orange) for the reed sensor. Try one of your local satellite dealers - its getting pretty hard to find C-Band stuff.

I went to my local hamradio store and bought 8 wire heavy duty antenna rotator cable. The power wires are a lower gauge (thicker) than the other 6. I ran 100 feet of it 3 years ago still going strong.

Oh yeah; I've made up various wiring combos too; like using 4 conductor quad alarm wire for the polarity motor, zip cord for the motor wire, etc. Its just that the licorice satellite cable is so nice and tidy ... :P
