Assembly of DVB-321-SB LNBF

I got the DVB-321-SB (silver bullet) LNBF. the assembly bracket allows me to be closer or further from the dish. I can vary the lnbf position from the dish by about 1.5 inch. that does not seem right. it should be at a certain point that gets the ceter of the reflected signals doesn't it? I got no instructions and found non on the web? can any one help?
Thanks

Yes, you are right - the face of the LNB should be at a certain distance from the dish that will give maximum signal; this is the focal point. You can change this distance backwards or forwards to see what position gives the strongest signal. Generally, on a Fortec dish, you want the LNB as far back as possible for max signal -- but experiment with it.
