That's a little vague -- what type of system? What type of programming are you trying to get? Please give more info and we will help you out.

OK.

The first thing you should decide is what satellite you will point your dish at... and that decision should be based on what free TV channels appeal to you.

Here is a link to lyngsat.com, the authority on "all things satellite"; have a look at the free TV channels available, then determine which satellites carry those channels, and if that satellite is beaming to North America then that's the satellite you want to aim for. Any channel that is labelled "DVB" will be viewable on your Fortec receiver.

Have a browse at lyngsat and then get back to us; we can help you through the dish alignment process.

OK; first have a look at this ---> http://www.lyngsat.com/g10r.shtml

Any channel in yellow (with a frequency over 10,000 MHz - the KU band) and marked "DVB" and "F" is viewable with a FTA receiver; you will need to enter in (or edit) the transponder parameters to match the lyngsat info; frequency, symbol rate and polarity (H or V); then you will have to figure out your dish alignment - compass and elevation settings. Sadoun has a good primer on this in the Installation section of his website -- check it out...
