Changing quality between 0 and 97

Followed all sadoun's instructions for instalation of dish and BEC6600
the strength of the signal is always 83-84.
the quality changes between 0 and 97
BEC 6600+CI, LNBF=DVB321-SB
Boston, AZ=231.6 Tilt=25.6 Elev=34.6
Mount is 100% vertical
The quality bars never lock on, bars never change to yellow.
I spent 4 hrs moving the dish, by 1 deg angels,
Why does the quality bars keep changing? Any advice?
Thanks

emad

Is there power getting to the LNB? It must be turned to ON in the receiver. Is the receiver set up for your LNB -- standard or universal. Anything blocking the signal - trees, etc? Did you select and configure the transponder correctly for the satellite you are trying to align the dish to?

how can i tell that there is power getting to the lnb?
it's selected on the reviever for both frq1 and freq2 = 10750 Non-Universal. there is no power button on the lnbf (DVB321-SB).
I am trying Telstar 5
Transponder T9
Freq=11897
Symbol = 20000
Polarization = Vertical
skew=0 ???? I have rotated the lnbf to 25.6, do i do anything in the setting of the skew in the reciever?
22Khz = o

Finally, I'm installing the dish on a balcony, and there is a rail on it that might block the signal, but there are other people in my area doing the same thing. I will try to install it on a box to make sure that there is no inerferance. but are my settings correct?

Also, I have noticed that the frequencies of the transponders on Telstar 5 stored in my reciever vary from those in lyngsat.com, in fact I don't have transponders 25,26,27.

Reciever software version 82-68CI-V8.00
Any suggestions?

you could point the dish at a brick wall and you would still get a signal rating, its basicly just static, did you follow these instructons here

http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Products/B...stallation.htm

is you got all those setting correct, you are not alinging the dish correctly, KU band is very sensitve, and your alignment needs to be perfect

Now There absolutly nothing blobking my signal. And I did follow all the sadoun's instructions.
Vertical mount. about 25 degrees for skew. 34.5 for elevation and Az=231 for Boston, MA. pointing to telestar 5.
I am using regular cable wires. do i have to have any special wires. I read about RG6, but does it really make a differance?
Are you saying that the quality constant change is from static? that defeats the purpose of Quality, doesn't it?

I am not familiar with your unit but in instalation menu on all receivers you can turn LNB on or off. If you are using this unit by itself turn LNB on or you will have no power to LNB.

I'm back.. Now nothing is blocking my dish, LNB is OWN, Brand new Cables directly connected between LNB and reciever.
Quality still Changes so mush from 0 to 97

I kept trying Telstar5 but nothing, so I decided to try G10 and nothing.
Question.

My transponder frequesncies for Telestar 5 and G10 in the reciever doesn't mathc thoses for lyngsat. so I selected trasponder T9 for Telestar5 and fixed the frequesncy.
What Transponder is always active for Telestar 5 and G10?
What are the frequencies for thoses transponders?
What does Symbol mean? is it set for satellite or transponder? where do i get the symbols from? please help.

on t5 try 11836 V SR: 20769
g10r try 11920 v SR:28059

the symbol rate is listed on lyngsat as "SR", and is for transponder. alinging a dish is very tricky it took me a few weeks, keep trying
