I have an sg 2100 with 30" dish. I have logged more than a week setting it up and tracking it. So far I haven't found g3c which according to my longitude of around 94 should be my true south sat. Do I find this sat by putting and keeping the motor at 0 position and moving the dish elevation up and down while turning the complete dish mount east and west on the pole until I get a good signal? Is this the proper way to find it? If so that is something I haven't tried to yet. When I install g3c the receiver automatically moves the motor a degree or 2 past 0 on the motor. I have been trying to find it from that pos. I also have one of those cheapie inline
signal meters which should help a little. So far I have locked on and stored amc 9, amc 3, galaxy 11, T6, T5, amc 4, amc 1, and g10r. Haven't had much luck with finding the sats between these. Should I just start over? Could I still not be on the arc correctly? I have been reading through the forums quite a bit but still haven't come to grasps on how to find my true south sat the proper way. I hope this will clear it up once and for all.
