digital c band

Ok I think I understand, in order to receive DVB c band I will need a big dish with c band horn LNB etc, (I think) so with a c/ku DVB receiver can the coax from the LNB be tied directly to the c/ku receiver, and will the c/ku receiver do the H/V swithing. (Assuming I only want to focus the C band dish on a single SAT)??? :? [/b]

Not sure what you're asking...

DVB receivers and analog receivers, both receive C/Ku freqs.

Are you wanting to use an analog receiver with your big antenna? If not, you can use a DiSEqC or 22khz switch so that your FTA rec can choose between lnbs (ku fta or C band). For polarity control, seeing how you only want C band and your dish will be stationary, I would install a new digital C band lnbf. Your FTA receiver would then be able to switch polarity on your bud.

BTW, there is also a switch that will convert a polarotor to H/V with skew adj so it will work with a FTA DVB receiver. There was a post about this switch with a link to *Bay, but I am unable to loacate it.
