One dish, 2 lnb's, 1 motor, 1 Diseqc switch???

Want 1 dish with 2 lnbs. So I need Diseqc switch to change between the 2 LNB's. Also want to add motor positioner.

Q: Do the 2 lnb's wire to the switch, then the switch to the motor, then from the motor to the Fortec Lifetime box?

Q: If the 22khz signal is used by the Universal LNB to change LO high/low, doesn't the diseqc switch use the same 22khz tone to make it's changes? how does the LBM & switch know what's going on?

That's correct.

Diseqc switch and universal lnbf will work at the same time. I have a Diseqc 4 ways installed on my Diseqc h-h mount to switch between the Fortec universal and circular lnbf, no problem at all.

I just tried that and couldnt get it working correctly. I have my linear lnb connected to diseq #1 circular lnb connected to diseq #2. on my pansat i am able to access my linear lnb and operate the motor but cant see the circular lnb. i know my circular lnb has a signal because when i hook it direct to the pansat, i have signal. Could this be due to a low quality switch? I have a lava brand switch.

I use lave exclusively w/ no problem w/ the nexus=s boards.Haven't installed but 2 large dishes, but both work fine w/ lava.Try switching to ports 3 and 4(if you have a 4 way switch). If not,try switching the two inputs on the switch and see what happens.

I did some more testing and discovered when connecting 1 circular and 1 linear on a lava disceq and having it hooked up in the pass thru on the lnb of the hh motor, I get the linear lnb signal but not the circular signal.

I hooked up the receiver line directly to the out of the discqc (no hh motor pass thru) and it worked fine along with the circular signals.

What do you think is the problem.....do you think its the quality of my disecq switch ? I just ordered the 4 in 1 switch from Sadoun and a Pansat switch hoping that will solve my problem. If anyone out there is using a Sg2100 and is using a diseqc switch w/ a 2nd or 3rd lnb w/ all lnbs switching, pls let me know what diseq switch you are using.
