Can I just hook up my 10ft BUD to my life time and scan the skys and get all the sats?

Yes you can. You will need a BUD slave kit if you have both C & Ku lnbs on your satellite dish. If you only have C band, then you can connect the lnb to your mpeg receiver. Then use the loop out on the Lifetime to connect to the older receiver.

Bud kits are available at www.sadoun.com under Antennas

Ok thanx.I have a sw21 switch can i use that switch to hook up my C/KU band feeds.

No you can't use a SW21 it doesn't work for FTA receivers. You will need either a 22KHz switch or a 2 way DiSEqC switch as found here: http://sadoun.com/Sat/Order/Switches.htm
