LNB Power Question

4DTV connected to an MPEG2 receiver using DiSEqC switch and signal spiitters, one side DC pass. LNB power on in 4DTV. Should the LNB power be on or off in the MPEG2 unit ?

Thanks Tom

If you have the dc pass side going to the 4DTV then it shouldn't matter. But maybe set the power to off just in case.

Thanks. The reason I asked was on my old unit the splitters did not have DC pass and I had LNB turned off in MPEG2 receiver. I was using a manual AB switch. This will be my first experience with a DiSEqC switch.

Thanks again Tom

I would try it with it "Off" first. But, when I slaved my Lifetime as shown HERE using a 22KHz switch, I ended up setting the LNB power to "on" or else the switch would not switch between C and Ku.
