Possible?Two Fortec Lifetime Receivers and 1dish + 1 LNB

I want to connect two Fortec Lifetime receivers to one dish + 1LNB with SG2100 rotor. Is it possible? If so, how?

The idea is to watch FTA programs in two rooms (not at the same time) using one dish + 1LNB +SG2100 rotor.

Thanks.

would more easy if you don't use the sg2100 and just fixed dish with lnb with 2 outputs. Sg 2100 is intended of use with one receiver.

Thanks. But I already have a SG2100 rotor and I like the flexibility it provides. Is there any switch that can combine two cables (each connected to a receiver) into one cable input to the rotor?

Yes, you can use item# 14 here: http://sadoun.com/Sat/Order/Switches.htm

However, make sure you only use one receiver at a time and you have to turn the other receiver OFF. I would also recommend you use DC block (usually found at Radio Schak) on each output of the switch. That way voltage will pass in one direction (towards the LNBF) and not towards the other receiver.

Instead of a splitter with a DC block can't you use a regular splitter and turn LNB off in one receiver. I have 2 receivers hooked together like that.
I have 3 receivers run through an ABC switch to an amplifier connected with the anteanne and run to the back bedroom. You can switch between any of them in the back room and any of them in the front room at the same time.

1. I recommend to use a DC blocker since it blocks DC from both side. It's only $2/each. We really don't know how good "regular" spliter isolate DC, what happen if the DC from the 1 receiver also leaks to the 2nd port and pass to the 2nd receiver? Again, just my opinion.
2. Regular splitters (at Rat Shack) are not designed from signal satellite (5-2050mhz), read the specs before you buy them. Using a wrong one might cause you not to get all the channels.

You may be right,I don't know much about electronics. I am going to use a DiSEqC switch for the first time when I get my new Ultra and I will use splitters with dc pass on one side for this hook up. You probably need second LNB on to power switch.
On my hook up I have now however I have never had any trouble with a regular splitter as long as LNB in second unit is turned off otherwise you get an LNB overload. The LNB is powered by the one unit.
However your way is probably the best way.

Yup; I managed to fry an SW44 multiswitch last week by using defective splitters - even though one leg was supposedly DC blocked. I had two SW44s running in tandem for 8 receivers and the cheapo splitters leaked DC and took out one of the switches - and those DishNet SW44s are not cheap !!!
