Need help to fine tune BEC6600 and HH1100
Hello everyone,
I bought a BEC 6600+CI and HH1100 from Sadoun. Got a tentative support from Sadoun but I still don't catch any signal yet. The most strength signal I received is 90 or 91 and the quality variably jumps between 40 and 70.
I live in Boca Raton, Florida and think I need some help from an installer. Do you have any contact information of sat installers in the area ? I appreciate your help.

Nguyen,
Vietnamese fellow....:-)
Setting up a h-h mount is a bit tricky but doable. If you want to do it yourself, check out the link below:
http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Installati...stallation.htm
If you have any questions, feel free to post them here. I and other members will try to help you as much as we can.

Michael,
Vietnamese, certainly I am. I tried to follow the HH installation guide today,it makes sense to me but my signal strength only gets to 91-92 and signal quality shows between 50's and 70's. I spent three hours to fine-tune it but could not get any better, and of course, the signal indicators did not change color as it should with BEC 6600+CI. What's your suggestion?
Thanks,
Tnguyen

Is the dish now tracking the arc correctly? Skew is at 0 when tuning the dish at true south.

I found my location's true south is 183 degree, so I face my dish 3 degree to the right, is it right ? Then what are next steps ?

Your Lat: 26.9N, Long: 80.2W. Your true with is AMC5 at 79W. There are some 24/24 active transponders on this bird. The azimuth of AMC5 in your location is: 180 +/- magnetic devation. Looks like the magnetic deviation for your location is +2, therefore the azimuth of AMC5 is 182.

Thanks for your information. Now how do I adjust my disk to truesouth ? And now should I test it with AMC5 or Telstar5 ? I called and someone at Sadoun told me to test it with Telstar5 - Transponder 17.

Check out the link below for instruction of how to install H-H mount:
http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Installati...stallation.htm
What you need:
1. Set the Stab mount elevation at 27 deg.
2. Figure out the Dish Elevation.
3. Set skew at 0, try to get lock on AMC5. (Use a compass, set it at 182deg, then aim the dish to that direction)
Spend some time to read the instruction. Let us know if you have any other questions.
