technical support on T5

please i have a prblem with my fortec ultra sat receiver.
i bought it some 3 months ago , i fixed it to receive T5. I did ; but i could not receive all the channels (free ones) especially 2M and Almaghribyia.

i wrote once to fortec technical support an email but no answer . i called them 4days ago by phone , i told the operator about my problem , she told me that the technicians are now very busy and she will call me back once they are free . i gave my phone number but no one called me.

am really deceived . and don,t know wether to keep the fortec ultra or simply look for another receiver.

There is nothing wrong with your receiver. You might have to update the transponder information; it tends to get out of date. Go to this site, look up the transponders that carry the free channels you want, and then add or edit the transponders accordingly.

just to let you know that i did what you told me . many times . i even chnged the position of my dish .
it seems that something is wrong with either my dish or the lnbf.
because i took my rcvr to my neighbourg house and connected it to his LNB AND IT WORKED PERFECTLY.
now am thinking of buying a new dish a round one not oval as delivered by sadoun . hoping it will work.

Check the LNB before replacing the whole dish. It may be stuck on one polarity and not switching properly. Not much can go wrong with the dish unless you drop it off the roof like DruzeTito and warp it... :mozilla_laughing:

Check www.fortecstar.com for any f/w upgrades for this receiver. I don't think there are any and I don't think you need any.If you want to add a new transponder, you will have to enter it manually. There is no blind search capability on that receivcer.
