single linear lnb, 2 receivers

Can I use any of the followings to connect 2 rcvr to a single port lnb1. high frequency splitter2. aspen 43 switch or3. loop out.

I'd recommend loop out since one receiver is always going to control the LNB. I'm cheap, and loop out only requires a piece of coax and remember to turn off LNB power in the downstream receiver.
