    Question Installing a Fta Dish

Hello, I have installed dish net and DIRECTV for 15 years, I am starting to get into Fta systems, but I am having trouble. I use a Super Buddy satellite meter and I never have any problems with it. I am trying to set up NANOSAT CNX NANO PREMIUM SE receiver, a Universal Dual/Twin KU LNBF (10.7-12.75GHz (SatMaximum) and a Hotdish90 (36inch,90cm) dish.
I am wanting to tune to a satellite with the most english channels and it will be in columbia, missouri 65202. I tried for 5 hours with no luck at all with my super buddy.I tried to tune into any satellite that was programmed into my meter. The dish says its elevation range is 0-90 degrees but the lowest it says on the dish is 25 degrees, so I'm wondering if these dishs use a different scale. All help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

well as you know you need to have a few thing set in your meter in order to search for a signal from the satellite. 1) You need set the lnb's LO frequency in your meter. Since you are using a universal lnb it is 9750 - 10600 Mhz. 2) You must have the data entered into your meter Frequency / Polarity / Symbol Rate of the transponder on that satellite you are try to locate. Since you didn't list that I'm not sure what you are looking at. There are different setting on a DTV or DN dish compared to ours I have noticed. Once you find what you are looking for you will have to enter the LO freq in the receivers menus for the satellite you want. If you can't find the it you should be able to manual create a satellite and manual add a transponder. Once you can get signal and quality on your receiver you can do a blind scan. I don't have that receiver personally but they all have the same general settings. If you tell us the satellite you are looking for I can find you a transponder to search for. 97.0west is a popular satellite. With you meter and you knowledge it should take you minutes to find a signal.

Yes I was pointing to 97 west, I got it tuned to that satellite. If I use a standard lnb do I have to change the frequencies? If so what are they? My next question is if I add a motor to my setup what do I need to do? thank you very much

Only the LO frequency for the lnbf changes. The TP frequency is the same.
