Best setting???... Multiple Satellite ... One dish?

    Hi,

I'm trying to install by myself an FTA receiver and would to reach the maximum number of free satellite TV. I collected the following information
    from LyngSat - Lyngemark Satellite

    Satellite.................................| Beam.................| Video
    ------------------------------------------------------------
    Intelsat 9 (58.0°W)....................Americas............. DVB
    Galaxy 17 (91.0°W)...................North America C....Digicipher 2
    Galaxy 3C (95.0°W)...................Ku..................... .DVB
    Galaxy 19 (97.0°W)...................North America Ku...DVB
    Anik F1R (107.3°W)...................C..................... ...DVB
    SatMex 6 (113.0°W)..................Ku2.................... .DVB
    EchoStar 9/Galaxy 23 (121.0°W)...C........................DVB

    ________________Latitude____|_____Longitude_______ ___
    (Montreal 45.500....45° 30'N...|...-73.600....73° 35'W)
(information from P.G.J. - LATITUDE et LONGITUDE de quelques Villes)

I think that the motor solution might not be the best one for me. The reasons was I want to connect at least two receivers (Yes I could install two dish, but I want to limited my budget). In addition, I fear that snow or ice in winter is blocking the engine.

I live in Montreal. Can I reach those satellite from my location with only one dish setup?

Could anyone suggest me the best setting for what I'm trying to setup? Like what model of dish and how many LNBF (KU and C band ??? I'm confuse) can i put with one dish.

    thank you

    BSuperKid

Realistically you can't see both C and Ku band with one dish. It can be done, but it's best for experienced users...you also can't see anything with Digicipher 2 unless you have a special decoder box, it isn't FTA, it's encrypted and you'll have to pay to see it. Your best bet would be to get the 90cm Ku band motorized set up and forget about C band for now- you'll be able to get lots of satellites, including ones you didn't mention.

Thanks for your answer. The information that I got about Digicipher 2 is from the web site lyngsat.com in the section of Free TV. I didn't know that it wasn't FTA. Like I said, the motorized dish might be not the best choice for me. Cuz in Montreal, winter season is something not so funny. Also I want to install two separate receiver from the dish. Do you know if stationary dish with multiple LNBs can give a signal clear enough for 3 satellites. Some web site sell triple LNB handler.

    Cordially
