SonicView & Stab HH 120 Motor Setup Problem

I just got a new SonicView SV-1000 and also a new dish 1 meter Fortec with the INVACOM QPH-031 LNBF ** linear + circular.
--

So I removed the old dish and installed the new Stab-120 motor and aligned to the south.
I installed the 1 meter dish and put the cable from the SV-1000 to the reciever input on the motor and the other one I ran straight to the L on one port on the lnbf.
I went in and tried to move it with the remote and it looked like nothing was happening. I went out there and it was moving bacl an forth 5 degress off of zero and that is it.

What don't undersatnd here, the Stab 120 will work in NA correct, what I read in the manual the settings are just for London. It says some thing about mach limites and electronic limites.

Hopefully this will work what I purchased here.

Any help here???

Richard

don't know that receiver but most receivers that control motors has adjustable limits.

Look in the DiseqC 1.2 section, even if you plan to use USALS.

HOWEVER, I really saw nothing in your original post to suggest that this is necessarily your problem, although it is certainly a common problem. But I also didn't see where you ever indicated what you did to move your dish. Were you trying to move it via DiseqC 1.2 or via USALS? If USALS, the most common problem is that you have entered either your own coordinates wrong, or the coordinates of the sat you're trying to go to, and usually the mistake is putting in "E" longitude instead of "W", etc.

Your original comment about the motor being set for "London", makes me think that you are referring to the preset DiseqC positions. These motors seem to come with the first 26 sat positions preset as satellites visible from Europe. On my Fortec receivers, it at first didn't even seem possible to alter these definitions, which seems really weird to me, however I was eventually able to figure out how to use these preset positions for other satellites. This was necessary, because otherwise I didn't have enough satellite positions available.

I found the limit setting in the Sonicview SV-1000 and I made sure it was off.
All went well today I have it all working and got most satellites and they are all around 80-100 signal level not bad.

One thing I need to find out is what is the difference with a 0/22khz Pulse Control Switch or a 4-Way DiSEqC Switch

I used the diSEqC switch today but I have 2 of other switch.

What are the uses for those switchs.
