Geotrack H-120 with XSAT CDTV 430 problem

    Greetings from "Down Under",

I recently installed a 90cm offset with a Geotrack H-120 DiSEqC 1.2 motor, only to find that my dopey XSAT CDTV 430 receiver, which is supposed to be DiSEqC 1.2 also, just sits at "In progess..." after the motor has actually moved. Has anyone ever struck this, or something similar, or have any ideas on what to do? (short of buying a new receiver, which would have to wait a while, as I'm already in trouble with the wife for spending so much time and money on this. )

I've searched and asked on the forum that I normally frequent (Vetrun), and done numerous Google searches, but no clues yet. So I thought I'd ask here (after searching of course), as there seems to be a larger user base here than on Vetrun.

Did you see with your own eyes that motor is moving?
The best way to troubleshoot these kind of things is to get a small TV and sit somewhere near the motor.
For how long this "In progess..." message stays? Does it finally show a picture or "No Video" message?
I have noticed that when "moving" to a transponder with no signal on my "Motorized Settings" menu (when scanning for channels), it shows that "moving to..." message almost indefinetely. Or I just have no patience for it

Thanks for the replies guys. I finally nailed it last night, so I was going to write a follow-up here in any case......

What I discovered last night, more by luck than anything else, is that when in the main alignment section of the menu it'll say "In progress..." until hell freezes over. But, in the scanning part of the menu it will get past "In progress"..... eventually. Sometimes this can take several minutes, well after the motor has actually moved. Yet on a few satellites it was relatively quick to start scanning once the motor had moved to the right position.

So I'm not quite sure what its criterion is. Even if I get it to look where there isn't a signal, it'll still get past "In progress" if I leave it for long enough (and then report "No signal", as expected).

So my next step will be to fine tune the alignment so that it tracks the full arc correctly, but that'll have to wait until my wife's away. I'm already in trouble for spending too much time mucking around with it last weekend.

I don't think that'll wash. My wife and daughter are going away for a few days tomorrow week, so I'll leave it until then for my son and I to play silly buggers. I've still got a few satellites that I can play with in the main part of the arc until then.
