HH100 and 36" fortec dish
Reading the specs on the HH100, it takes a dish that has a 2" bracket. I don't have that on my 36" dish. I have the normal 1 5/8" bracket (the 90cm P dish).
Can I use that dish with the HH100 as is or do I need the "U" bracket too?
Now to check to verify it will work with the way my roof is set up

You will need the U-Bolt bracket. The P-bracket will not fit on the HH100 or HH120 shafts.

Hello,
Do I need the U-Bolt bracket with Sata Radar R90 dish?
Sorry for the fleabay link, but I couldn't find better reference page.
Also Is the U-Bolt bracket only needed with HH100/HH120 motors, is it needed with HH90?
Thanks so much.

exactly
and it woudln't work on my roof setup due to the low elevation to begin with (being at 45N has disadvantages). I got the T90 instead

I didn't want to open a new topic, since my question was related to original question ;-). Iceberg are you happy with HH100? There is lots of people unhappy with HH90, looking at the specs I would think Stab is inferior and it is build to last. I live in Ottawa, Canada, as a result I thought Stab is better solution for me since it uses metal parts inside...
However I'm still debating, perhaps SG2100 would do the job too......
too many choices, all I want is a decent motor that will be able to drive 36" steel dish with invacom lnb.
Please advise
TIA

Thanks, I guess I'll need U-bolt bracket for it. Do you think HH90 would do it, or it would be pushing it?

I would go with the 100 that way if you want to upgrade to 100cm dish some day you won't have to change motors and the 36" dish won't put much strain on it so should last longer.

Both the HH90 or the SG2100 will work fine with a 36" dish. Your choice

as Sadoun said either one will work. but I would go with the higher rated one less strain on the motor. the sg 2100 is rated for a 1.2 meter dish so it is rated higher than the stab hh 100. the stabs have metal gears while the sg 2100 has plastic gears your choice.

Thanks guys for your answers. It is just when I read about it. It seems 75% (12 out 16) users are not satisfied with Stab motors. Also the popularity with Stab in North America is not there, one site I've seen it discontinued selling Stab HH90, because SG2100 was out selling it in ration of 100:1!?!?....
By looking at the specs, the way Stab rotors are built, I don't think there should by any comperisment, the thing that confuses me the most is so many unhappy Stab motor owners..... I live in Ottawa, Ontario so I would prefer to get motor with metal parts inside (harsh winters)....
My last concern was that I've seen few posters with 36" steel dishes complaining that their HH90 stoped working after a while. So I figured I need something stronger perhaps | |
