Motor SM2D12 doesn't turn to EST

due to a power glitch during installation, SM2D12 motor rotation is limited between 45W and 42 EST. During installation, due to a power glitch, the rotor turned to 45 WEST and I was not able to move it to EST anymore, by pin switches or by Humax 5400 menu. But the motor is not broken: the only way to move the rotor to EST is by Humax command goto REFERENCE. Each time the command is pressed, the rotor moves shortly to EST (as far as 42 EST). The rotation to WEST is working fine.
I've tried to reset the limit setting by receiver command without success.
How can I do a full factory reset on SM2D12 motor?
Your help will be very much appreciated.
thank a lot

A couple of things if you have not tried them. Did you happen to set a east limit in your receiver? If so delete it. What about a complete power down of the receiver? Unplug for about 5 mins or so. Also are you attempting to use USALS? If so do you have your settings correct for your location? You are lining up at your true south sat with your motor set at 0 correct?

Thank you steve for your support, but I've tried :
- to set, delete, reset both EST and/or OVEST limits without success
- to unplug coax cable between receiver and motor for 1 day, but nothing
- USALS is not supported by SM2D12
- during installation the degree for motor and dish were correctly set to my location (I was able to capture EUTELSAT W1 and HorBird signal)
-( if you mean the channel settings used by my receiver, are the same working fine with old positioning system )
- I lined up motor sat at south, then I used the satellite more near to my south position (Eutelsat W1) as REFERENCE.
The system was working fine, but suddenly the rotor turned and blocked to WEST. The strange problem is that the EST pin switch is not responding anymore. Hardware fault?

You did not read my post carefully. I did not say unplug coax I said unplug receiver. Unplugging the coax will cause problems if the receiver is powered up. Leave the entire system connected and in tact. Turn off the receiver and unplug it for 5 minutes. Plug it back in and power up and check to see what happens.

Hi Steve,
I followed your advice, but unfortunately I did nothing.
Meanwhile I was contacted by slovenian technical assistance, and they said to me that it seems an hardware problem. It was out guarantee, so I substitued the motor with a new one (a Stab HH90) and it works fine.
I'd prefer the SM2D12 because it is a bit more silent, but....
Thanks for your information and for your time.

kind regards
marco

Good to hear you got it worked out. I thought you were putting in a new system and I had ran into the exact same problem with an install one time.

Have a great day
Steve
