Ariza 700, HH 90 Motor and 2 LNB's

I have a Ariza 700 with a Digiwave HH 990 motor, Qsat 36" dish, Fortec Universal (linear) LNBF, as well as a old D*rect TV LNB (circular) for D*sh and B*V. I am trying to use both at once. I connect the Receiver to the motor then the motor to the Diseqc switch (Multistar MSD-41), then to the two separate LNB's which are both attached to the same 36" dish. As soon as I turn on the diseqc and the positioner (motor) on the receiver, the Motor stops moving (will not take any commands from the receiver). What am I doing wrong? #-o

Thanks,
Ras H

I did look at this, the only thing is that it only happens when I turn on Diseqc switch. Otherwise it works great.

Thanks
Ras H

what;s with the * in dish or bev?

anyway.. are you sure this multistar switch is diseqc compatible? Is there a logo on it or something?

If you directly connect let's say one lnb to lnb in and receiver to motor does the motor move?

I asked the same question on the satelliteguys.us forum and got banned, so I figured that they are sensitive about using the term Direct TV, Dish Networks, and Bell ExpressVu. :mozilla_sealed:

I hooked up just the motor, with no lnb hooked up, it would not move (actually it moved a small amount only, like a nudge).

The Cabling is not a problem I tried to hook the receiver as close to the motor as possible. The Motor is a Digiwave DGHH-990 DiSEqC 1.2 Motorized H-H Mount.

It Seems that it is only when I turn on DISEqC switching, does it then not allow me to move the motor.

The DISEqC switch has MSD-41 on it, as well as Frequency Range 900-2400Mhz. Insertion Loss: 3dB, Power Passing 500mA max.

Am I trying to do the impossible?

Thanks,
Ras H

hmmm.. i dont see why the motor doesn't move with just it hooked up directly to the receiver. I never use stab motor before but I know the SG2100 has no problem doing this.

When does the motor actually function like it should?

It works great when all I have hooked up is one lnb (c), no diseqc, runs to four different sats flawlessley. I just tried it again, no go.... I wonder if it is a problem only with the Ariza Receiver? I don't have another model to try it. I was really hoping to get one of those two band LNB's (Invacom) attached to my big (36") dish. :mozilla_cool:

I would'nt even mind upgrading my Receiver, to say a Pansat, Viewsat, or Coolsat. I just want to make sure that it would do the trick.

Or Could it be the motor? :mozilla_undecided:

Thanks,

Ras H

Update

Bought a Viewsat 2000 Platinum. Same problem. I used the new diseqc switch supplied (pansat). as soon as I try to use Diseqc and Motor, Motor refuses to run. :mozilla_yell:
