Stab Hh-120 Dish Alinement "slop Factor"?
I purchased and installed the HH120 on a Channel Master 1.0M dish a few years ago and it has been working flawlessly ever since. But.... I notice the acuracy of the dish alinement is getting 'sloppy' as it gets older.
For example, my due South satellite is 119W which lines up fine, but when it turns East or West now, the weight of the dish causes the dish to "fall" a bit further knocking the alinement off. Is this due to gear wear? Should I take it apart (it's on a post on the ground) and check the gears? Add gear grease? Any solutions 'other than' taking it apart would be great. |

taking it apart won't do much good had the Stab 100 that developed slop in it took it apart and there is nothing on the inside to adjust mine was movement in the worm gear so I just replaced the motor.
