I have a question regarding the cable length for the motorized dish system. This is what I have:
Fortec 90 cm dish
Fortec Lifetime clasic NA receiver
Stab HH90 motor
Sadoun FSKU-V universal dual LNBF
I also have to use two combiner/diplexer to combine Sat and TV-Antenna signals to one coaxcial cable from outside to the house and then split them again, one to the Fortec receiver, and one to TV directly.
Question/concern I have is that, from your peoples experience and knowledge, how long the coaxcial cable can be so that
1) Sat signal is not deteriating to the level that impact the viewing video quality.
2) the Stab HH90 motor DC power (from the Fortec receiver) is not impacted to the degree that will affact the horsepower the motor needs for its acturate movement when I switch from one viewing satellite to another.
3) If I use an in-line amplifier (20db gain) for the Sat signal (connected between the Fortec receiver and the HH motor), will it help the situation (ie. question 1 and 2)?
4) the coaxcial cable I have is RG-6.
I could test it by myself, but thought I would love to hear from your experts first before I mess with it. I have been amazed (and greatly appreciated) by the knowledge and help you guys provided over this Tech Forum.
Thanks in advance.
