wejones is a splendid one to beholdwejones is a splendid one to beholdwejones is a splendid one to beholdwejones is a splendid one to beholdwejones is a splendid one to beholdwejones is a splendid one to beholdwejones is a splendid one to behold
Out of curiosity, I didn't re-scan, however I did run through the channels that scanned in the last time I re-scanned. I just found the following:

3869H/3000 1 FTA video TU Superstation
3875H/2170 1 FTA video service 2
3981H/2532 1 FTA video Montemaria + teletext
4078H/2962 1 fta PROGRAM, BUT VIDEO IS BLANK??? cemesate
4085H/3162 1 FTA video pgm 1
4117H/3255 1 FTA video AYM Sports
4165H/(9000,1733) 1 FTA video ?digital sng? ?Edusat?
4137H/2300 IP/DVB
3878H/1984 1 FTA video color bars

4053V/4304 1 FTA video
4040V/3363 1 encrypted video
4026V/4600 2 FTA video DIGI 1,15
4016V/4030 ? signal, but no lock ?
4011V/(5056,3130) 1 FTA video
4001V/(6875,3900,2670) 2 FTA video CHO1PROG o1-02
3988V/8862 4 FTA Video Program 1-4
3976V/3131 1 encrypted video ?service 2
3968V/7500 2 encrypted video (Ecuavisa)
3950V/3255 1 encrypted video (?Mexico TV?)
3936V/4440 IP/DVB data
3914V/2946 1 FTA video CANAL 11 SOTEL
3748V/2099 10 radio channels (central america)

Ie 7 or 8 FTA video channels on H, and 11 FTA video on V .
A couple of the things I scanned in last time weren't there. Perhaps they are not on 24/7. Plus a few channels are encrypted, I'm not sure if they were encrypted last time or not.

However it is interesting to me, that some of these transponders don't seem to lock in rapidly. Some I had to try a couple times. Not sure why.

Also, even MORE strange (to me anyway), is that a few of these channels, I had picked up previously with different SR values, so I looked at the information in the NIT, and noticed that even different SR values were listed there. A good example is the 4001V transponder, that I had previously locked in using both 3900 and 2670 SR values. So I looked at info in the NIT, and it listed an SR value of 6875. This morning, I found that with my Twinhan card, I can lock this transponder using either of the 3 SR values. In fact, being confused, I then tried to lock this channel using 3940, 3980, 4120, etc, etc. I could lock this channel using just about any SR value I tried!?!?!?! This is strange to me, because unlike my Ultra, the Twinhan card is usually quite tight with respect to SR values, in that often if I am off by as little as 10 on an SR of 20,000, I can't lock the channel, but on this transponder, these values are WAY different. I'm really confused by this. I'll have to try using some different SR values on other transponders.

I'm curious whether other people can lock this transponder using these 3 different SR values??? Anyone know why? Or is the Twinhan card more flexible with respect to SR than I thought???

Well, I just used the "baseband-->shortwave radio method" to determine the actual SR of this signal, and it seems like 3900 is the correct value. The other SR values that worked for me don't give a signal.

SOLVED!!! While typing the above, I suddenly remembered on quirk of the Twinhan, which has confused me before. Ie if you are locked on a transponder, and then try to change parameters, and it isn't able to get a lock with the new parameters, it has a tendency to just revert to the previous parameters, and lock in, even though TSREADER is indicating the new parameters.
To test this, I locked on 4000/3900 . I was then able to lock on 4000/6875 and 4000/2670 , etc. However then, I locked onto 3988/8862 , and THEN tried to lock on 4000/6875 and 4000/2670, and the Twinhan WOULD NOT LOCK. Then locked onto 4000/3900 again, and again I was able to lock 4000/6875 and 4000/2670.

So ignore what I posted above about the multiple SR values. It was just an artifact of the Twinhan.

EDIT: I was still curious about the 6875 SR value listed in the NIT, and thought that it might be the overall bitrate, rather than symbol rate, and it comes pretty close. Ie normally you calculate bitrate by SR * FEC * order. In this case 3900*7/8*2 = 6877.5 . This is pretty close to the 6875 they listed in the NIT, so I'm guessing that is what they meant. What they put in the NIT often doesn't have any relationship to reality.
EDIT2: Sorry... error above. 3900*7/8*2=6825 not 6877.5. I typed wrong number into my spreadsheet. So I'm not sure where they got the 6875 number.

don't know on the numbers unless it's use for skew adjustment. I did a scan last night got 7 horizontal TP and 18 vertical some were scramble and some had no picture.

Having never seen that lnbf, this is just a guess, but perhaps those are for adjusting the lnbf angle or skew, to get the proper polarity. Ie with a motorized system, this isn't necessary, but with a fixed, az/el dish, you need to adjust the polarity for each sat. Looking through old messages, I couldn't find where you said if you had a motorized or fixed dish. But if you have a fixed dish, then you need to use the calculator on the Sadoun web page to find the lnbf skew angle. That could be responsible for not getting all the transponders.

Got most of them, thanks. That means MY lnbf installation is not so messed up. As far as the numbers I guess that makes sense maybe one side is for a positive number and the other is for a negative one. Cool.
