minimum dish size (c band) for satmex 5&6

Hi, I would like to get some channels (spanish) from these sats. would a 1.8m fortec prime focus get the job done? Tia.

Depends on where you are. I personally would not use less than a 8.5' dish if in the US. These are Mexican sats and as I am told the beam should not really be viewable in the US.

Also depends on which transponder you're interested in, because of the 3 footprint patterns. The one Lyngsat calls C2 is aimed at South America. The other two are aimed at North America, but the C1 beam is stronger than the C3 beam. I'm outside the footprint area, but get reception on several of the transponders. I think I'm getting a couple of the C3 transponders, but mainly the C1 transponders.
