FORGET TARBS!

I just could not take it any longer. I had to have my Pink Plus and now I have it! I should have never trusted Tarbs which I now call Trabs. They told all the viewers that Pink is staying on Trabs and now they replaced Pink with this MAD TV. $20 a month less in my wallet but I have Pink! Thanks to them I missed all of the special holiday programming.

Re: FORGET TARBS!

Well, they are still testing the signal, noone really knows when they will officially roll out the services. Their channels have been FTA, enjoy while they last. I have emailed them many times but not gotten any reply. What the heck are they thinking? They want us or we have to beg them "hey, here is my $, please start rolling our your services...".....:-)

From what I hear most of the channels that they provide in Australia cannot be broadcast here in the U.S. The reason is that those channels are being provided by either Dish Network or GlobeCast exclusively. Go to Tarbs.com click on the Australia service and look at the channels they offer. Then look at the channels that Dish Net and GlobeCast offer. You will see that they are almost the same. Without these channels and with the poor overall service they have no chance of starting a subscription service. For instance in Australia they have a Serbian package of Pink Plus, BKTV and RTS, but in the U.S. Tarbs have lost the right to broadcast two of these channels, Pink and BKTV. Looks like somebody down under made a big mistake!

Then they better come up with a good plan to lease out their G10R transponders for the next 10 years. But remember Mr.Murdoch is a powerful man. He can turn things up side down...:-)
It'll be interesting to see how things turn out.

You shouldn't blame Tarbs for the disappearance of Pink, blame Pink itself... I congratulate Tarbs in bringing the best FTA service in North America, but for those in Australia I don't really know much about. Besides, a fairly decent channel has replaced Pink on GXR, because it gives not just Greek music videos but European ones too (Something you never see in America, and you'll be surprised how good it is too)

I still don't quite understand why we American don't appreciate European music. For me, it's so much fun listening to their music, Techno type, new=wave like Modern Talking way back in 80. I still remember how popular Modern Talking was in Vietnam. Modern Talking was everywhere. Then C.C.Cat...Can't remember other band name. I was just kid at time who was exploited by NewWave music from Modern Talking...:-)
I guess the only European band we appreciate here is ABBA.

Tarbs is to blame 100% for Pink leaving. Tarbs was illegally broadcasting Pink Plus in North America the fact that it left makes everything clear. Why didn't Tarbs tell it's viewers the truth about Pink? They kept on saying pink is staying here then.... I do have some new Info about RTS SAT and MKTV SAT on Tarbs G10R. The transmission of these 2 channels is illegal and without the permission of the programmer. The director of RTS said they will be taking Tarbs to court over "illegal broadcast of our channel to America." At least with GlobeCast you know what you're getting, $20 for the best channel in the world channel (in my opinion) and no surprises like Tarbs and offcourse much better picture/audio quality. Once Tarbs removes your favorite channel (soon) you will agree with me.
For me there is no replacement for Pink you have to be MAD to watch Tarbs new channel MAD TV.

P.S. If you can read Serbian visit the RTS Forum to verify my info above.

Ejj PEJA... Yes i agree that Pink is the greateast channel, but no way in hell is one single channel worth 20 dollars a month. As far as RTS and MKTV is concerned, If i were them i wouldnt argue because its doing a favor to their own people from the Balkans that live in America. Iam from Macedonia and MKTV is at times boring at times great, but Pink was almost always great ... hehe. Anyway... i really do hope Tarbs stays where it is or gets better.. thats what I hate about FTA because heaven could change to hell in an instant. Im spending lots of money on this FTA stuff..

Tarbs WOULD HAVE been a much better option Pink, RTS, BK and MK TV for $34.95, to bad. That's to much also because of the bad reception. I wonder what Tarbs will do now. They can't fit anymore channels on that transponder. What happened to the other 3 transponders? Tarbs are still paying Panamsat for the lease.

MK TV does a better job on sports. They had Euro 2004 Qualifiers but RTS did not show a single game!

Yes indeed packages would be a little more feasible. Anyway, they had Euro 2004 qualifiers?? I must of missed them. I remember they had Eurosong 2003 though!!!
