Installation Problems,

I have installation problems on installing my Dish.!

What direction do i have to install the dish ? Some people say the Dish needs to be South West?

and about the Cable is there an specific cable that i need to buy?

I am like 2 day's outside trying to find the signal there is no chance the highest i get is freakn 73%

Does the Dish need to be placed where there is absoluty nothing infront of it ?

What type of dish are you installing? I suspect its a FTA since you are posting in the Serbian forum. Here are some short answers to your questions:

1) if you live in the eastern part of North America you point the dish south west; if you live in the western part of North America you point south east.

2) you use a coaxial cable called RG6; easily found at most electronic stores (Radio Shack, Best Buy, etc.)

3) there must be no obstructions blocking the signal to the dish (trees, buildings etc.) unless they are lower in height than the desired elevation that the dish is to be set at.

Let us know what type of dish and receiver you have and what satellite you are trying to find and we will continue to help you out.
