USING THE SIGNAL FINDER?????????

I recently bought a signal finder, but I am not quite sure how to use it. It seems pretty simple, however I must NOT be using it right because I cant get a signal to hold.

1- How do I use the knob at the bottom right to fine tune?? Should the needle start out on the far left at "0" or in the middle at "5"??
2- Should I see the needle moving while I am turning my dish from side to side?
3- What tone should I be listening for, if any? A steady tone?

Sorry for the ignorance!
Thanks for any help you guys may have!

Start by pointing your dish to the right Azimuth and Elevation. Use the correct tilt on the LNBF. To calculate all that see:
http://sadoun.com/Sat/Installation/S...Calculator.htm

Hook up the satellite signal meter between the LNBF and receiver.
You will see a light and hear a tone.
Start with the needle in the middle at 5 (use the knob to adjust the needle)
Move the dish slowly. Notice the Needle

If it goes higher, the signal is getting stronger.
If it reaches 10, use the knob to lower it to 5 again.
When the needle no longer goes up, that means you reached the peak.
Try adjusting the dish elevation up and down (slowly) and see if you get stronger signal.
