I currently subscribe to DTV. I am interested in obtaining FTA signals also. I understand that I must get a seperate receiver, or card. Question is what about dish and lnb

For FTA you should get a 30" minimum diameter dish and a linear polarity LNB. Most FTA channels from various satellites require this size of dish. Keep in mind that FTA receivers are "DVB" format; so these receivers will not pick up DirecTV signals.
