Primestar dish

I have an old primestar dish. Could I use this dish to receive FTA programs and also other programming?

Your in luck it will work and gets great reception. Look for a single output LNBF then you will not need any switches. If yours is a dual output (Vertical and Horizontal) you need a switch to make it work seemlessly.

Well you can use it to get Telstar5 channles You will need to switch the lnb if you want to use it for DTV OR DISH. The only great use for a PrimeStart Dish these days would have to be getting a better wireless conntion SOrry if links arnt allowed !
