Reason why i am asking is i have a birddog now an its ok to rough in a dish for galaxy 25 but still have to use a receiver for the fine tune on the week TP. Thank you Captain

    None of these satellite meters do Ka band, nor do they do Ku band or even C-band. They all work on the L-band IF from the lnbfs.
    Ie I think the specifications are a bit misleading. It probably just means that it is compatable with a Ka lnbf, which really means nothing more than it probably can be told to convert Ka freqs into the actual L band freqs it's seeing, but I'm just guessing.

    maxpeak and ka with dtv

    Bought meter for dtv installs and am quite pleased with how it works so far. The only problem I have with it is you cant see the dtv 99 and 103. It is capable of doing so but for no given reason, they dont have a download setting for it. So if your buying this for the ability to see ka dtv be aware.. So until maxpeak wants to allow you to no ka for me. Something thats kinda upsetting because I bet it would take them 5 minutes to write the codes to do so and upload them on their site.

    @jocm1 :
    You are right it hardly takes any minute. But bear in mind and this is my gathering that all meter-manufacturers make files for the most common LNB LOs. These cannot generate all sat files w.r.t all different LNB LOs. If they do so the database would become huge. I hope you understand. If you have any specific type of requirement, you can ask for a custom file. I am not sure about maxpeak very well, but i had tried this with Birdog and it worked fine for me.

    Hi Mojijoon,
    None of such meters would calculate Azimuth as they does not have GPS.They are simply level meters.
    Not sure about the diseqc version though.
    I have a Horizonn V3 which supports upto v2.0 diseqc. You can try out with this one.

    Hello,

    I was stupid and didn't do a research about this Maxpeak meter and bought a used one on Ebay. When I go to the homepage and create and register a profile, it give me an error. It asked where I purchase this product, date of purchase. Dang! I contacted the seller and he said, he bought it on Ebay as well.... Now I can't update to the latest firmware. I can not even contact the Maxpeak customer support, no reply.

    What can I do? I assume that this Maxpeak Meter I have is already registered with a previous owner and now it won't let me register.

    Your help or suggestion should be very much appreciated.
