Plugging your SatHawk 4000 meter to your PC or Laptop

Before you hookup your SatHawk 4000 fto your pc / laptop for the 1st time, you will need to install the driver. You will find it along with the satloader program here:
http://sathawk.tv/SatHawk4000/Downlo...-Downloads.htm

This must be run before the meter is plugged into the USB port and will allow Windows to recognise the meter automatically.

If you already plugged the meter into the PC before installing the driver, some additional steps will be required.

Install the software
From the "Start" menu choose "Settings/Control Panel"
Open "System"
Choose "Hardware"
Choose "Device Manager"
Plug the meter into the PC. A device will appear In the list with a a big yellow question mark.
Right click on the device and choose "Uninstall"
Unplug the meter from the PC.
Plug the meter back into the PC. Windows should detect the meter and install the driver automatically.

This is the point a new user would get to by installing the software and then plugging in the meter. The SatLoader.exe program can now be run (from the start menu). It will be necessary to choose the correct com port in SatLoader (it will say Satmeter 3).
