Sathawk 3000 meter. KH signal

I have loaded the newest 4.2 version for testing and found something weird. When I choose IA5 ( 97) KH (standard lnb) with meter connected to well-pointed dish, I see no signal level or signal quality. But when I cover the lnb I see signal level of 96%. Signal quality does not work at all. This was working fine with version 4.1.

Battery: On a full charge the meter turns off after 5 min. Turn it back on I see battery lever 11% then meter shuts off again. I leave the meter alone and after half an hour turn it back on, it will work for about 5 more min. Is this a meter or a battery problem? This only started upon loading version 4.1 of the software. The meter is one year old.
