Sathawk 3000 SW Updates

I was wondering if updates for the Sathawk 3000 are tested before they are released. I noticed that updates fix something but mess up something else. Last update I downloaded (4.1)to update 110 and 119, but found out that 119 does not work at all. 148 does not work on DP. 97 KH does not work on universal lnb's. Most of these were OK on the previous update. Battery life seems also to be decreased after last update. It could be an isolated problem though. Any idea?

Let me understand your question correctly:

You are saying some of these satellites are not showing found:

119: Which one on the list?
148

[u]KH IA5 97W This one only but the other [u]KV works fine for you?

How old is your meter's battery? If over a year, it will need to be replaced.

All combinations of DN 119 do no show found. DTV is fine.
148 on DP lnb's does not work but works OK on legacy
97 only kh Universal does not work but KV is fine.

I went through 3 meters. Mine was replaced 2 times. My original meter would be about 13 month old but do not know how old is the replacement one Sadoun sent me. I used to do 6 installs in 2 days with the same charge. Now its only 2 in one day. Meter goes from 89% to 35% in 5 min.

I bought my sathawk in early of 2005. The software that came with it is 5.0.8 am version. I download the new update datafile 4.1 to the meter. I tried to get signal for Dish pro 110, 119, 129, echo 110w and 119w. I can not get signal to lock. I can only get the SS signal not PQ signal. Why is the new 4.1 datafile read Kl or KR dishpro 110, 119, instead of dishpro; dishnet 110w instead of echo 110w? Do I need to update the meter software to 5.1 inorder fo my meter to work?

It seems as if there is a lack in support for the Sathawk 3000, SW updates are being released that's suppose to be improvments, when in reality it just causes more problems because of the lack of testing that is done when producing these updates. I am dissapointed in my purchase of the Sathawk 3000.
