Sat Hawk 3000 will not download datafile

I followed the instructions on the website but have not been able to download the new datafile to my SH3000.
I get an error "Send New Line (0) failed.
Can anyone tell me what is wrong.
I called technical support but no one there is familiar with the process.
Please help.

1- Make sure you have good data cable
2- Make sure you use the latest satloader program on the website.

Here's some additional info if anyone out there can assist.

Dell PC Latitude
Windows XP

Purchased Sat Hawk 6/20/2005 with 5.1.3

Ok just swapped cable to another new one. Both still in the wrapper.
Also reloaded the sat loader from the website

Send new line (0) failed still appears. I tried 3 different data files.
31, 32 and 33

Try a different PC. Are you using a Laptop by any chance? Are you using a USB port (with an adapter) or straight to the serial port?

I will try another computer.
Yes I am using a laptop.
No straight from the serial port to the Sat Hawk.

Ok now I've tried it on a PC with XP.
straight from PC with Serial cable to the device (both cables) and nothing happens.

Please help.
