I usually use analog
signal finder to find dishnetwork satellites. For 148 I just move the dish all the way to the North and start moving it to the left until I have a beep, that would be 148.
But today
I was given a black signal meter, not sure of the name but it looks like SatHawk 3000 but black. I was looking for dishnetwork 148. Hooked the meter to lnb and turned it on and selected 148. Moved the dish little bit and there we go 148 found quality 92. Went down to receiver and checked signal on 148. Signal quality is 0. Back to dish and on the meter 148 found. I knew there were some transponders that are the same for more than one satellite so I decided to check to see if the meter would find them on the same position. The meter had 110, 119, 148, 61.5 displayed as found and with good signal quality. Checking again I found out that I was pointing to 119. Moved the dish to the right and checked. I had signal on 148 but nothing on 119 or 110.
I noticed also that 148X polarity was always 0 quality (on Legacy lnb)
I heard so many good things about SatHawk 3000 and
I was wondering if SatHawk 3000 would recognize 119, 110 and 148 without mixing them up like this meter? Thank you
