My new sathawk, that I heard was one of the best, has caused me nothing but headaches so far. I am using the dataset of 5.0.8 AM America V4.A09. When trying to locate
DTV 101, it will not lock onto it, however when verified with a Signal Loc Pro, it is on 101 with a great signal, but when I use my sathawk, it still says searching. I cycled through the DTV satellites, and it locked onto 110, not 101. Just to be safe, I checked it with a fellow employees signal loc pro, and sure enough it was on 101, but my meter still says 101 - searching, 110 Found. I have tried all day long to get
Sadoun on the phone, but to no avail most of the time they didnt even answer the phone. When i did get someone to answer the phones (3 times) 1. The tech support was out to lunch, 2.&3. They were with another customer, after that the phone just rang and rang.
Is the Dataset that I am using screwed up? I tested the meter on my sat at home, which is properly pointed at 101 with a great signal, but when I tested it, got searching for 101, locked on 110. Should I download a different data set?
I thought the Sathawk was suppossed to help me make money, by making my job easier, so far I have taken longer on jobs and even couldnt complete a job b/c I couldnt guarantee a positive signal lock.
Anyone that can help, please do, Sadoun Moderator, if your listening please help. I cant do my job if I dont get this fixed soon.
