can't get signal

i am brand new to fta and stuck already. i ahve a 10' bud that has been in retirement for 20 years and am trying to bring it back to life. i am useing a cs6000 and i just purchased a bsc671 and took my tv and stb to the dish and tried and tried and tried to get 123. the system is working because i did actually get some mexican sat of unknown origin and i did recieve home2us/tan tv but that is all that i can find. i have installed the dielectric and removed it and that is all that i can recieve. please give me some advise as to what i can try next. i am out of ideas and i have read and read and haven't found the solution

the mexican sat is prob. Satmex 5 at 117.

this site:
North & South America - LyngSat

lists all the C and Ku band transponders.

You're close.

What are you looking for - and - which active transponder did you have on the reciever when you were searching on 123W ?

Do not use that plate for the BSC621. You dont need it.
