    Oh boy there'salot more to knowing Satellite issues and receivers etc etc.Thanks for being here and helping me with my baby steps.and be so patient with me.Im learning alot tho.I just ordered the one you suggested HARL-3624 TD-24 24" 36V Moteck Super Power Jack Actuator

    OOPS when it comes in the acuator thye servo and grnd wires.I have Grn and Orange coming from the top of the motor.not counting the mr1 or mr2 wires Which one goes first

    it don't matter which one goes first just that you got them installed in the correct place on the motor. just a reminder be sure to unplug your receiver.

    ? Why unplug receiver? I almost never unplug any of my receivers for any wiring changes, but particularly not for the actuator wires. Only thing that could be affected there would be maybe an extra count or two with respect to where the receiver thinks the dish is, but his receiver already doesn't know where it is.

    after being zapped by electrical equipment a few times I try to stay on the safe side Bill.LOL

    Ok i replaced the actuator.everything is connected to the right connections,Followed the directions that came with it. But when i try to check it with my receiver it shows this WARNING actuator error,Do i have to reset my receiver it shows anik 2 or E2 right now,or?????

    you may need to reset you west and east limits. or turn them off till you get the sats program in then set the limits.

    i cleared them it gave me ***** for east and west,before it had numbers,But it still says the same thing.By the way i have a uniden personal cable receiver if that is helpful,How can i check to see if i didn't blow my receiver

    the only time i get that message on my Uniden 4600 is when i hit the limits, the dish is froze up,or the wire came loose at the motor or receiver.
