    By compass reading do you know which sat is the farthest west i should go to ?i thank you for your help it seems like im finally fetting somewhere.Should i set the south sat now or after i get the rest of them?

    You won't use a compass to find the west sat. You'll have to run the motor to the sat. You can probably see past AMC10, but I'm not sure what is on the sats past there that might have anything with a footprint toward you. I can't see past amc10, so I'm not sure. Most past there is beamed toward Alaska.
    I'd look for AMC10, G13, or perhaps G10r, since there isn't a lot of FTA on the other 2 . You can go to the Sadoun Az/El calculator (under fixed dish install) to give you an idea of the compass heading, but use the motor to go to the sats.

    Im not sure but i think i have 10R I have a lot of channels but like i said they are mostly religious ones,ill try to get another sat later,today.My wife yelled at me cause i spent 12 hours in the yard yesterday doing this,And ill do it again today get back later.LOL

    when i tried to get the other saats and tried to tune them in by ajusting the dish i lost the other sat i said i had and now can't seem to get any.I just ordered a inclinometer from here.What numbers do i want to set the motor for with it?

    to keep from loosing a sat once you find it I always mark the pole and mount make note of the elevations that way you should be able to return to the spot you were at.
