SM3D22: Ho to remove the 6 degree shift

The SM3D22 motor has internal 2-Way DiSEqC switch (antenna switcher) for receiving the same satellite with two different kind of LNBFs (two different polarization )- i.e. DSS circular (R/L) and FSS linear (H/V).

To focus the same satellite to the second LNB (i.e. DSS LNBF), the motor moves the dish by 6 degrees. This shift is factory default and allows you to attached the DSS LNBF to side of the FSS LNBF using a clamp or extra LNBF holder. However, if you are using the same LNBF that has the two kinds of polarization such as the QPH031, then this 6 degree shift is unnecessary.

If you own PC card that can generate custom made strings, connect motor to it and send string E031A078002B (GREEN!! led on the motor must blink) and then E031A07900EF (GREEN!! led on the motor must blink). From that moment on you have zero degree LNB shift.

I haven't tried that yet, but I would assume a TwinHan 102G PCI card maybe able to do it.

Thanks for the important info, we have been waiting for.
Also, would be great to know, how to return the 6 degrees shift featufre back.
There must be another combination of strings doing it.
I am happy with 6 degrees shift, because I tied two LNBs together (even without bracket). I would not try to experiment, without knowing how to restore this feature.
