Cool SM3D22 SaTracer SW

I am in the process in buying this motor I need to know some of your current user feed back on this motor. I have a 33'' multistar dish ,coolsat 5000 and a Ariza xtreme box, Invacom QPH-031 Lnbf. I need feed back about the motor working with those boxes.

Sm3d22

As long as your receiver is USALS or 1.2 compliant, the SM3D22 will work fine. You also need to be sure that your dish weighs less than the 27 lb rating of the motor.

I replaced a Stab HH120 with this motor very recently and I am much happier with it than the Stab. The SM3D22 has VERY little play in the dish mounting arm whereas the Stab HH120 has so much play that very little wind was required get it to flop back and forth a degree or more. This made for tough dialing in of the sats, and a very variable signal, especially in the evening or night.

Don't know about the life expectancy yet, but I will in a few years.

Hope this helps.

I'm curious about what you're referring to when you say "especially in the evening or night." above? In particular, what sat/channels, and/or what specifically is different about evening/night.
Over the years, I've heard a LOT of complaints about not being able to receive certain channels at night, and have at times had problems myself, however despite having seen this myself, it has NEVER made any sense to me why this should be the case, except in situation where there were extreme temperature differences between night and day.
Anyway, I'm curious with respect to just what it was that you experienced???
