Red face Should i buy a new motor?

Hi all,

I have been using 2 Fortec Star receivers (Classci NA and Platinum) and a HH90 motor for almost 2 months. When i first set up my sytem, this motor carried the Fortec Star 36" offset dish (FC90U), the dual ouput Fortec Star FSKU-2V LNBF and it worked just fine. About a month ago, i upgraded to a Invacom QPH-031 LNBF and added two 2-Way 22KHz switch. At that time i recognized that the motor speed was reduced a little bit and it was not accurate as before. Does anyone have any idea? Do you think the increasing of weight the motor has to carry now makes it burn out?

To move my dish to another satellite, some times i have to order the movement for 2 or 3 times. For example, the dish is on 97w and i want it to point at 110w, i perform the order to move but it is like it does not move at all, or it moves only a portion of the distance. So i have to move the dish back to 97w (or 101w...) then move it back to 110w again. I have to do this a couple of times to get it to the correct satellite!!! This problem happen more and more often recently!!!Any idea? What can i do?. If i have to buy another motor, which one will you guys recommend?Thank you

hi rainman,

How are you, bro? I have no other choices? Do you think the weight of the dish+LNBF+two 2-Way 22KHz switch overload the motor?

How long have you been using your HH100? How does it work?Is it accurate? It runs a little slower than HH90, doesn't it? Sorry to ask so many questions? But just want to do a good research before buying it...

been using it for about 3 months it is slow compared to my c band acuator.it seems to be very accurate. and the extra weight probaly did in the 90 as it was running border line with the 90cm dish.

All I have read on the SG2100 states it will handle up to a 1.2 meter dish. Given the prices of motors it may prove your better route. I seen some online today at $69.95

Watch out for clone SG2100 motors on the market today.

Our SG2100 is original made by Moteck.

Hi elgemcdlf, Sadoun
Thank you for replying. Question, what is the MFG Warrantee policy for Moteck Digipower SG2100? I did not see it stated in the sadoun website?

I have both the SG2100 and the SM3D12 in service for roughly 7 months now. Had some setup issues with the SG2100 that were mount not motor. Motor may be heavier. The SM3D12 is used for running from 79 to 123 for Spanish language channels with a Fortec 76 or 80 cm dish from Sadoun. The SG2100 runs all across the board from 30 up to 123 for the same reason.

Both have worked with no problem that I can determine. Have had some landing problems with the Sg2100 but I think when you change channels before the move is complete it halts the motor. Example: You start movement to a sat on a channel on that sat and before the move is complete you change the channel on that sat.

Both are run from Fortec Platinum NA receivers.
