Signal Strength

I have a Question on the Signal Strengths.

I bought a Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra with SM3D12 Motor Dish. I have fixed it and all is working fine. However, I have an issue.

When I make it go to 121W Echo 9, I get 90+ Signal Strength.
I have set it as Universal/USALS.

When I make it go to 119W, I get very very weak signal. However, when I set it to Standard with 22Khz ON, I get 30 to 50 signal Strenght.

What am I doing wrong.

Please help.

You are aiming at the wrong satellites since your receiver is for FTA only and not for ECHO satellites.

OK. I pointed the Dish to 97W which is IA5 KU which has the Arabic Channels. I did a power scan. Got a few channels. But I did not get Saudi Channel etc.

Question.
I have Dish connecting to Motor which is connect to Receiver which is connected to the TV.

In the Menu Setup.
When I go to the Antenna.
I selected Universal 1
22 Khz is OFF since I cannot go there as it is disabled.
LNB power is ON
the DisEQc is OFF.
Should I have this ON. If yes what should I have it. It has Tone A, Tone B, #1, #2, #3, #4.

Are you using a Diseqc switch? If not, leave it on the off setting, it really doesn't matter. If you were using more than one lnbf you would need a 22khz switch or a diseqc switch to be able to switch between them.
