No Siggy Strength/Quality with SG2100 & pansat 3500
Hi
I have installed an SG2100 with Winegard dish and pansat 3500. I was getting a few IA 5 channels with 70+ Quality 80+ signal strength. While Trying to program other satellites, the IA5 also went away. Now there is 0 Quality and Signal strength of 20 irrespective of the position of the motor. Motor is responding to DISEQC or USALS moves. Also if the cable from LNB is disconnected, it still shows sig strength of 20.
I would sincerely appreciate if someone could give an idea as to what could be the issue with this. Would any change in elevation of the dish or something cause this ?
Thanks

SN...if you're getting nothing it is usually because the dish is not on "the arc". The most important thing is to make sure that your antenna mount is 1,0000% perfectly straight up and down. You can use a bubble level to check it. You should check it on 3 sides of the pole. If it's off even a little bit it will badly affect your reception. I'd start there with your troubleshooting. If the pole is perfectly plumb then write back and I'm sure others can help you better than I in figuring out what is wrong. Also, from what I've learned, the signal strength would register something even if you point it at a brick wall. The signal strength means NOTHING! It is the quality that you want. Good luck.

Hi everyone.I am using a old 30 inch DTV dish and lnb. I have a HH-990 motor. I am at 50 n and 61e . I have been trying for two days and I cant figure this out.I have read so much my head hurts and my brain has gone blank.
My problem is I can't understand all the directions. I have set everything correctly has per the directions, but this true south thing....I pointed everything south using a compass,, then I read I have to add or subtract something and point it that way,,,then somewhere I saw point at the south most Sat????
Another problem is,,,I progamed my VS plat with my lat and long and can move the dish manual but when I try to use USALS to find a sat like 110 which I programed into it, the receiver thinks the dish is moving but is not??? If anyone can help thanks..
