do i need to assignb it a preset number?
Try USALS. It should work. Peak it at AMC 3 first and then try driving it to IA5 with USALS.
When using USALS, in Antenna setup, in the Positioner, select USALS. Enter your longitude and latitude. Click store and exit. Motor will move to the location of that satellite. Once motor is moved, make sure you are getting signal and quality.
Select the next satellite and all you do is select USALS in positioner setting and it will automatically calculate where to move.
Those 4 bolts on the motor itself. That isn't a problem with a large heavy dish (1 meter Winegard)? It appears to be the weakest link in the chain.
When not in use, turn off the juice !
It depends on what motor model you are talking about?
Dear Admin. Please check your math. In the 3rd or fourth paragraph you state that true south will be 180 plus or minus your deviation. Then you say that Columbus Ohio is a plus 7 so true south will be 192. Shouldn't it be 187? This might confuse some people. Thanks for your great work and pardon me if I'm missing something.
Thank you for the correction :mozilla_laughing:
Actually since magentic deviation changes constantly, it should be 8 degrees now for Columbus, OHIO. So True South should be 188
Hi I am having trouble to.I am in Chicago,ILL 60643.I got 2 motors and dishs.1 is a chanel master dish and sg2100 hh motor. The channel master dish came with 2 circular lnb on it.I put an linera lnb in the center. What about motor elevation angle?I though when you set the lat on your motor, the elevation is set to.On my sg2100 I set it to 42 lat. and on the elevation side it was 48.Now 42+48=90.Originally Posted by peterferro
When I first set up the motor and dish aimed at my true south, which is at 3C. Should I aim it at the true south and try to pick up 3C by using the motor to move the dish around or moving it by hand?
