no signal on stb

I am setting up a dg380 with an qph-031. When I connect it to my satopia receiver it shows no signal or quality.
I set it on an old Viewsat I get 60 signal.
Shouldn't I get signal at least on the satopia? I set the satopia on a fixed dish and get 90 signal and quality.

Ideas?

make sure you are using the proper Lo freq in your new box 11250 for circular and 10750 for linear.

My settings were/are standard 11250 for circular and 10750 for linear...however when using either one I get no signal or quality on any sat or tp. Even when pointing to strong circular signals.. I put the old vs and bingo I can get 80s and 90s.

So now I am using the old vs to set up the arc. I have found some sats with very strong s and q.. can scan em in and get channels fine.. but I cant seem to get my arc set. My closest true south sat is amc5 at 79w and tried to get a lock on it with tp 11900 with no success.
I have had similar luck with 77w echostar which I thought might be a stronger signal to set up on. I am using a 1.2 azure shine pan with the dg380 and qph-031. I skewed the lnb 1 -2.7 degrees clockwise as well as straight on.
Using the fine tuning rod on the pan I am able to adjust elevation pretty acurately.. but just can't seem to get it right. For example I get 110w 80s and 90s with 100 quality.... but if I move to 119w 9 degrees away it isnt on the arc at all.
My long is 80 and lat 26 which is set on the motor and puts my dish elevation at 31 I have gone back and forth 200 times 10 degrees past what I believe to be my true south which is 185 magnetic azimuth.
Using the quarter turn method on first the perfectly plumb mast which is schedule 40 galvanized 3"pipe at egg incubator speed... then again with the 31 dish elevation with quarter turn on the fine tuning rod which is about 1/10 of a degree per quarter turn.
I have used this on the 12428 tp of 77w and the 11900 of the 79w. Kind of at a loss to figure out why the arc is so elusive with this dish.

Any advice would be Apreciated.

11900 is a strong signal on amc5 so that should be a good TP to use.are you using usuals or disqec 1.2 to move your motor? if usuals set the dish to your true south then use the motor to move to amc5 shouldn't move much then move east and west on the pole with the whole assembly 1/16 of a inch at a time allow 10 to 15 seconds between moves to let receiver see the change go 5 degrees east and west to get quality if no quality start at the begining raise or lower dish by 1 degree and try again. sorry no short cuts. also mark your pole and motor bracket for true south so you can see how far you have moved and so you can return to the starting point.just takes alot of paitence just when you are about to give up you usually find a lock.good luck.

Time has passed and here I am almost at the same place. I can take my 33" fixed and point at 79w and grab it with the satopia.. yet the arc on the dg380 keeps eluding me... I can grab 110, 119, 123 .. just can't find the arc past 13 degrees. Nor can I find any sat near my true south. I am beginning to think the preset lats on the dg380 are off. cant be that hard to to lock in 79w 11900 tp.
I have now changed the motor lat app 1 degree in hopes of finding my arc. Got the 119w and 123w but no others and lost 110. I know its slightly higher than my arc so I have tried to adjust the true south to the west by increments.. 110 is so stong.. that for me Not to get some quality the setting must be off significantly..
I am looking for some new ideas.. dont have trouble finding the sats with fixed.. just this sadoun motor.

don't worry about other sats at this time see my previous post and get it aligned to your true south sat once you do that the rest of the sats will fall in place.
