42MM Replacement tube ?'s

I am in the market for a new HH motor. I am wondering if the 42MM tube that comes as a replacement with the 380 is still made of plastic??

If anyone has any idea, please drop me a line as I wish to get my motor replaced before it gets any colder here.

No they have never been made out of plastic. It is made out of metal.

The tube may not be made of plastic, but it is somewhat flimsy as it tends to distort when clamped.

Other then that, it is a great motor and I'm very happy with mine, but the 42mm tube needs to be upgraded.

I'm thinking of filling mine with something like sand or a light but strong filler to make it more sturdy.

It appears to be made out of thin metal, but looks, feels and contorts like plastic would and I'm worried about how long it will hold up.

Again, great motor but the 42mm tube should be more stout.
